What does MoodCap actually do?

Three things. It reads the mood of the moment live on the camera preview, before you press the shutter. It then writes the one line behind the face on a 9:16 card, with a mood, three hashtags and an energy score. And it keeps every card in a diary on your phone, where each month becomes a palette — one colour square per day.

Is it free?

Yes, every day. Three cloud cards a day are free, plus 10 welcome credits the moment you install. Every share you complete earns one more, up to three a day, and a reroll is free twice on every photo. The diary, timeline, widget and reminders are free too. There is no account and no sign-up.

What is the on-device engine?

On an iPhone with Apple Intelligence, MoodCap writes the line on the device itself: unlimited, free, and the photo never leaves your phone.

What does MoodCap Plus cost, and what do I get?

MoodCap Plus is an optional auto-renewable subscription: $2.99 a month, or $17.99 a year with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan only (in Korea, ₩5,500 a month or ₩29,000 a year; the App Store shows the price for your country). It gives you unlimited cloud lines, all four tones (Tease, Warm, Sharp and Poetic), every card style (Classic, Film, Minimal) in every size (9:16, 4:5, 1:1), transparent line stickers and the monthly recap poster. If you only need a few more lines, there is a single 30-line pack for $0.99 (₩2,200), no subscription. Tap your balance on the Home screen, or open Settings › MoodCap Plus.

How do I cancel or manage my subscription?

On your iPhone, open Settings › your name (Apple Account) › Subscriptions › MoodCap. Or, in MoodCap, open Settings › MoodCap Plus, which takes you to Apple’s Manage Subscriptions screen. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period (or the free trial) ends to avoid the next charge. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

How do I restore my purchases?

Open Settings › Restore purchases in MoodCap, or tap Restore purchases on the MoodCap Plus screen. Use the same Apple Account you subscribed with. Plus turns back on as soon as the App Store confirms it; credits you bought stay with the device code on that iPhone.

What are profiles and tones?

A profile tells MoodCap who is in the photo — you, up to three pets, or the two of you — with a name, three traits and a short note, so the line can sound like it knows them. Pick a profile from the chip on the Home screen, or open Settings › Manage profiles. A tone is how the line talks: Tease and Warm are free; Sharp and Poetic come with MoodCap Plus. Profiles stay on your iPhone; only the one that fits the photo is sent with it, to write the line.

Why did my tone change?

Sharp and Poetic are part of MoodCap Plus. If your Plus subscription or trial has ended, MoodCap writes the line in Tease instead and tells you so with a short note on the Home screen. Pick Tease or Warm yourself, or renew Plus, and it stays put.

The widget shows nothing

The widget shows today’s card, so make one card today first. It refreshes when you save a card and again at midnight, when it starts a fresh day. Until then it says there is no card yet; tap it to open the camera. If it still looks stuck, remove the widget and add it again from the Home Screen.

How do reminders work?

Reminders are off until you turn them on. Since version 1.2.3 you can turn on the daily nudge, and add the Home Screen widget, right after your first card. Any time after that, open Settings › Reminders (or the bell on the timeline), pick a time, and MoodCap nudges you once a day — skipping days you have already made a card. You can also turn on a note on the 1st of each month when your monthly recap is ready. Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone; if none arrive, check that notifications for MoodCap are allowed in the iPhone Settings app.

Can I change the caption language?

Yes — 39 to choose from, and your phone’s language is the default. Open Settings › Caption language and pick the one you want.

What happens to my photos?

Cloud captions are off until you allow them. When they are on, a photo is sent only to write its line and is never stored. The live mood reading, your timeline and every on-device caption never leave your phone — nothing about the diary is uploaded. The privacy policy has the detail.

Are the moods and scores real?

They are entertainment. MoodCap is for fun, not a psychological or medical assessment, and nothing it writes should be read as one.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app. Your diary, your preferences and your settings live in the app’s own storage on the phone and go with it. There is no account to close, because there is no account. Anything else, email richohios@gmail.com.
