Neon Horde App Store

Privacy Policy

Last updated 24 September 2026

Neon Horde has no account of you. There is no sign-up, no profile and no analytics of ours. Two parts of the game reach the internet — the rewarded videos you can choose to watch on the results screen, and the Game Center leaderboards — and both are optional. Because of those ads the app asks you once, through iOS, for permission to track you. You can say no, and the game plays exactly the same either way. Everything else stays on your phone.

What the app stores on your device

Your progress — best score, longest run, kills, gold and the permanent upgrades you have bought — is written to your device's local application storage (UserDefaults). It never leaves the device, it is not readable by other apps, and deleting the app deletes it. You can also erase it yourself from Settings → Reset progress inside the game.

Advertising

Neon Horde shows no banners and no interstitials. An ad appears only at a moment you choose it: when you tap, on the results screen, to revive your run or to double the gold it paid out. Ignore those two buttons and you will never see an ad.

Ads are served by Google AdMob. When you watch one, Google receives data from your device in order to deliver and measure it — including a device identifier, your approximate location derived from your IP address, and information about the ad you were shown. This is described in Google's privacy policy and in how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. How much Google may do with that data is decided by you, in the permission question below.

Permission to track

The app asks you once, using Apple's own App Tracking Transparency prompt, whether it may track you across other companies' apps and websites. The dialog is the system's; all we do is ask. Both answers are real answers:

  • Ask App Not to Track. Your advertising identifier (IDFA) is never read and never sent, and every ad request is marked non-personalised.
  • Allow. Ads may be personalised using that identifier.

If you swipe the prompt away, or never see it because you have turned off tracking requests for every app, Neon Horde behaves for you exactly as it does for someone who declined. You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Your choices in Europe

In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland a consent form from Google appears before any ad is requested. It is asked under European law and is a separate question from Apple's prompt — you may be asked both. If you decline, or dismiss the form, no ads are requested at all, and the game simply stops offering them. You can reopen that form from Settings inside the game.

Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center, a finished run is submitted to the Neon Horde leaderboards for score, kills and time survived, and you can open them from the main menu. That is a service of Apple's, not ours: we receive nothing, we have no server, and we cannot see who you are. It is governed by Apple's privacy policy. Signing out of Game Center on your device stops it, and the rest of the game is unaffected.

What we receive

Nothing. We have no server and no analytics. We cannot see your scores, your progress or your ads. If you email us for support we will of course have whatever you choose to put in that email; we use it only to answer you and we do not add you to any list.

Children

Neon Horde is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. The app has no in-app purchases and no user-generated content. It does carry the rewarded ads described above, which are served by Google.

What the app still does not do

No banners, no interstitials, no forced ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics of ours, no crash reporter, and no sale or sharing of personal information. The game itself is fully playable offline; only the two optional ads and the leaderboards need a connection.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
